For the first time ever, the American Conservative Union (ACU) rated State Legislators’ voting records on conservative issues. Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia were chosen as the target states. Each legislator is held accountable for his/her voting record on critical issues facing our nation. Legislator’s votes are scrutinized to determine who plays an important role in defending liberty and bringing back a limited government as well as free enterprise and strong traditional values.
In order to be designated as a “Defender of Liberty,” each person must score 100% on specific general assembly votes, such as Government Reform, Second Amendment Rights, Health Care Choice, Private Sector Development, and a Balanced Budget.
We are proud that our own State Rep RON YOUNG is a recipient of this prestigious “Defender of Liberty” for the 2011 Session of the Ohio General Assembly.
